Our History

Founded by
Michael Harris Spector

Founded in 1965 by Michael Harris Spector, Spectorgroup continues to leave a lasting impression on the New York metropolitan area, repositioning some of the most iconic buildings to be high-performing, resilient spaces. Having created a new standard for suburban architecture in its formative years, with a focus on residential real estate and new construction, Spectorgroup has since solidified its reputation as the go-to firm for major building renovations and commercial interiors nationwide. Led by Scott E. Spector, the firm continues to honor his father’s legacy while taking a modern approach that continually challenges the architecture and design world.
